Season Delayed

An update from The Royal Canadian Curling Club

Our club has advised all members and associate leagues (that’s us!) that the new safety restrictions announced by the provincial government apply to the club, and our season start will be delayed. Please contact if any questions and we will share responses online for all, and share any further updates as soon as we can.

Your Riverdale Executive Committee

Dear Royals Members,

Today the government announced new COVID-19 restrictions, including prohibiting indoor restaurant/bar establishments and team sports activities, for the next 28 days, We understand the need to keep our community safe and we will be delaying the start of our 2020/21 leagues. With the recent update, we are tentatively projecting leagues to commence on Sunday, November 8th. We appreciate that many of you have paid your dues for the season. We will be holding fees until we will have a better projection of the upcoming season.

The good news is that the ice is in, it looks great and will be maintained until our new projected opening date in November. We are examining small renovation projects that can be completed around the club during the downtime.

We recognize that this news may be disappointing, but the safety of our community is a top priority. We will be updating everyone on our league play as more information becomes available. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you back on the ice (hopefully soon).
