Good morning Riverdale – a quick update on Riverdale registration and a brief heads up on the 2021-22 season.
I have sent registration confirmations to every team that has signed up, with waivers and payments due by September 8. Many of you have already completed your waivers and paid, so thank you! If you haven’t received your email and you registered, please let me know ASAP.
There are currently two full-team spots available, so if you have not signed up yet, there’s still a chance if you hurry! Use the pre-registration form: https://toronto.gaycurl.ca/2021-riverdale-pre-registration/
You may have already heard this, but curling is anticipated to start in mid- to late-October (after Thanksgiving) due to required upgrades to the chiller and the compressor at the club. We do not have an exact date yet, but we will let you know as soon as we do.
We are also flagging again that full vaccination will be required to enter the club in 2021-22, and with the announcement of a vaccine certificate system for Ontario, we expect we’ll be required to show proof of vaccination as well, as per government directive. You can see more information here: https://news.ontario.ca/…/ontario-to-require-proof-of… We will also be discussing with the club and as an executive the expected etiquette and requirements in the club (masking, distancing, etc.) and will share guidance before the start of the season.
You can go here for more information on how to get vaccinated if you have not already done so: https://www.toronto.ca/…/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
